BackstorySweet Pea was born Nathan Maize, to a single mother (Kimi Maize), on the Southside of Riverdale. He lived as peaceful and happy a childhood for the first seven years of his life as anyone born on the wrong side of town could hope for. The two lived content in a small two bedroom, brick and mortar, home. Kimi Maize held a decent job and Nathan had a handful of close friends he was near constantly surrounded by. At the age of eight years old Nathan lost his mother to a hit and run, by a drunk driver, on the wealthy and privileged Northside of town one night on her way home from work. That driver, being the then mayor's teenaged daughter, of course was never charged. This catalyzing loss would be the first true taste Nathan would get the a centuries long gaping inequality in his divided home town.Without any known father Nathan went to live with his only remaining relative: his mother's aged aunt Winona. He lived the next six years of his life, in a double wide trailer in Sunnyside Trailer Park, learning about his deeply rooted Uktena heritage from his great aunt. With time and age Nathan grew more and more passionate about that history that had seen his family's people at war and their land colonized and reformed into the Riverdale he knew. This passion would serve him well and light a fire in him in the coming years. Nathan was fourteen years old when his great aunt passed of old age. Having been raised by a savvy and wily woman Nathan took what cash his great aunt had stashed, over the years of her long life, in case of emergency. That emergency fund would be enough for him to buy himself an RV to live in, not far from the life and home he had become used to.Living in Sunnyside on his own, within sight of the home he had had the six years prior kept with him that passion for the family he had known and the history he had learned. What money and inheritance he had rightly coming to him from his mother's estate was held back until he became of a legal age to inherit it, or so he was told by lawyers he couldn't hope to afford anytime soon. It was at the time of his great aunt's passing that he found himself attending Southside High, a run down high school on the wrong side of the tracks, and in so doing found his way to the last of the Uktena legacy and the Southside Serpent gang.Soon forged into a hardened gang member through the pain of initiation Nathan found himself settling into the life he would make for himself. For his passion and short fuse he earned the sarcastic nick name "Sweet Pea" right after his initiation into the Serpents. Stepping into a new chapter of his life he adopted that name as his own, given to him by the only people he had left in his life that he considered family.Fiercely loyal to those who have earned it, dangerous to those who endanger the ones he cares for, and deeply passionate, Sweet Pea is known for his understandable deep dislike of privilege and mildly volatile nature.He has a deep love of all thing motorcycle related and can be found tuning and repairing bikes for both the joy of it and the money it brings.Though his ties are to his hometown and those he cares
for there is a part of him that earns to break free of the small town and seek a bigger and better life.
